Robert Boxing

Here’s a recent picture of Robert where it looks like he is boxing. Every since Robert was born, he has been “squirmy,” always moving his arms and legs around.

Lately he has been getting bigger, stronger, and sleeping for longer stretches at night. We are planning his Christening, which will take place on June 19, just five days after we move to a new house.

Robert Turns 2 Months Old

As of yesterday, Robert is now 2 months old. We bought him a nice monkey shirt to celebrate.

He had his two month doctor’s visit a few days earlier. He weighed in at 12 pounds, 7 ounces, and was 22 3/4 inches long. From his measurements at birth, that’s an increase of 4 pounds and 3 1/4 inches.

Robert went on a long car trip to visit his cousins in Connecticut. It was Mitch’s second birthday. Robert slept the entire ride there and most of the ride back. His grandmother took good care of him for a few hours.

Robert’s Forty Day Blessing

On May 9, 2010, Robert had his Forty Day Blessing. This is a traditional blessing that takes place when the Mother brings her child to church for the first visit. The blessing includes appropriate prayers for the safe delivery of mother and child, and the formal presentation of the child to the Church for the first time.

To make things more special for Robert and Hristina, this day was also Mother’s Day!

Robert was “squirmy” during the blessing, according to the Priest. After church we had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory.

Below is a recent picture of Robert on his Rainforest play mat.

Robert.me Launches!

Welcome to Robert.me! Robert’s very own website!

Robert was born on Monday, March 29, 2010 at 9:50 AM. He weighted 8 pounds, 7 ounces and was 19.5 inches long.

His birth took place almost three weeks earlier than expected, and caught his Mom and Dad by surprise. Mom had gone to work up until Friday, and Monday was supposed to be her first day of maternity leave. While Mom and Robert were still in the hospital, Dad had to go home to set up the crib and buy supplies for the new baby.

Robert is now one month old. He has since moved to a bigger crib and weighs more than 10 pounds. His brother Jason likes him very much and says he is “so cute.”

You can keep track of the latest events in Robert’s life here at Robert.me (https://robert.me/).

Robert’s big brother Jason also has a website at iJason.com (http://ijason.com/)
