Robert’s Two Teeth

Over the weekend, Robert and family went to a small carnival. It was only a quick walk down the hill from our house and featured food, games, rides, and raffles.

Robert was very excited and happy for the entire time we were there. Any time we are some place new or different, Robert is always very interested and stays awake to catch every detail.

While Jason was on the Merry Go Round, I took some close up pictures of Robert. His two teeth are visible in the first two pictures. Click on any image to enlarge.

Robert’s First Tooth!

Robert’s first tooth appeared this past Thursday, September 9, 2010.

We had a good idea that his teeth would be coming in soon. He had been a little bit cranky and chewing on his toys (more than usual) for the past week or so. The tooth is one of his lower front teeth, and we are sure more will be coming in soon.

Robert has also started making some progress in crawling. He will lay on his stomach, hold his head and shoulders up with his arms, and kick with his legs.

Robert Visits Great Grandma

Over the weekend, Robert and family went to visit Great Grandma in Connecticut.

Both Robert and Jason were well behaved and excited to visit with their Great Grandmother, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. We all ate pizza at Mike’s favorite restaurant of long ago, Valley View Pizza, and went for nice walk around the neighborhood until Robert fell asleep.

As you can see in the picture, Robert is getting much bigger. He is eating solid baby food twice a day and rolls back-to-front and front-to-back in his crib. He likes to spend time in his Exersaucer or on his Rainforest play mat. Sometimes he throws toys at us.

Jason Sings to Robert

Robert has always been very interested in his big brother Jason. Often, he likes to sit and watch Jason play with his trains or cars. Robert always pays attention to the things Jason says, whether or not they make sense.

Sometimes when Robert is tired or cranky, Jason will sing to him to calm him down. Here is a video of big brother Jason pushing Robert’s swing and singing.

Robert Video Milestones

Robert is now just over four months old. Time passes quickly with two small children in the house.

At his four month check up, he was 25.5 inches and 15 pounds, 4 ounces. That is an increase of nearly 3 inches and 3 pounds from his height and weight two months prior. On the growth chart he is around the 60th percentile.

Below are two videos and a recent picture of Robert. He has been passing some milestones, turning over from back to front and eating his first solid food. The first video shows him almost turning over in his crib, and the second video is from the first time he ate solid food.
