Jason Sings to Robert

Robert has always been very interested in his big brother Jason. Often, he likes to sit and watch Jason play with his trains or cars. Robert always pays attention to the things Jason says, whether or not they make sense.

Sometimes when Robert is tired or cranky, Jason will sing to him to calm him down. Here is a video of big brother Jason pushing Robert’s swing and singing.

Robert Video Milestones

Robert is now just over four months old. Time passes quickly with two small children in the house.

At his four month check up, he was 25.5 inches and 15 pounds, 4 ounces. That is an increase of nearly 3 inches and 3 pounds from his height and weight two months prior. On the growth chart he is around the 60th percentile.

Below are two videos and a recent picture of Robert. He has been passing some milestones, turning over from back to front and eating his first solid food. The first video shows him almost turning over in his crib, and the second video is from the first time he ate solid food.

Recent Robert Pictures

Below are some recent pictures of Robert. He is almost four months old now.

He plays more actively with his toys and is almost turning over (back to stomach) – a few times he has been half way there. He closely watches Mommy, Daddy, or Jason and visually tracks us as we move around the room. He can somewhat support himself on his legs for a few seconds at a time. Sometimes he has a difficult time getting to sleep because he is so interested in the world around him!

Robert’s Christening

Just five days after moving to our new home, Robert had his Christening.

The Christening was held at the Greek Orthodox Church of Our Savior on June 19, 2010. Robert was either sleeping or contented most of the time, although he cried a little bit when he was dunked in the water. His Godparents handled the ceremony like experts, and we are very grateful for everything they did.

After church, we had lunch at our new home with lots of great food. We were glad to have Robert’s grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins share the day with us. We were especially happy that his Great Grandmother could make it, too!

In just a few days, Robert will turn 3 months old! Recently, he has been saying “ah goo”, smiling at us, and playing with a few baby toys. Below is a picture from yesterday.

Robert Boxing

Here’s a recent picture of Robert where it looks like he is boxing. Every since Robert was born, he has been “squirmy,” always moving his arms and legs around.

Lately he has been getting bigger, stronger, and sleeping for longer stretches at night. We are planning his Christening, which will take place on June 19, just five days after we move to a new house.
